MADRID ARCHITECTURE WEEK XI

ARCHITECTURE AND REHABILITATION

Organized by the Association of Architects of Madrid (COAM) and COAM Foundation and in collaboration with the City Council and Community of Madrid, the XI Architecture Week is celebrated. The goal this year is to promote the work of architects and teach the population of Madrid to enjoy and appreciate the architecture and urban landscape.

For this, among other activities guided thirty buildings and more than 30 urban itineraries interest tours are organized.
Among the buildings that can be visited by his MADRID ARCHITECTURE WEEK interest: COAM headquarters or Repsol, the Astronomical Observatory, the Matadero Madrid, the Royal Academy of Medicine, the Cuartel de Conde Duque, the National Archaeological Museum and the Ateneo de Madrid.

As part of this XI Week of Architecture of Madrid, on Wednesday, October 8, it will hold various lectures and discussions on issues related to rehabilitation and energy efficiency in companies, institutions and professionals try to shape the map rehabilitation and energy efficiency in Spain: rehabilitative activities in the current building stock, policies and strategies for rehabilitation aid and its MADRID ARCHITECTURE WEEK with the aim of enhancing energy rehabilitation of buildings as an economic activity and improve quality of life in homes.

Also at the XI Architecture Week is a series of spaces intended for younger thinking which have developed a series of activities and workshops for children through which they can enter the world of architecture and urban landscape.
