How to collect and store the seeds of our plants
The seed collection time is when they look and are dry, almost opaque. When the seed is ready to be released from the plant, it dried and clear on their own, to travel by air or fur of some animals, as appropriate.
Shake the branches. There are varieties of loose seeds that we can remove simply shaking the branches. To do this, place a thick paper or something on paper wide open timber, firm under the branch, and we push gently to allow the seeds fall off on their own. If a seed is not apparent, it still is not ready to be released. Leave it on the ground, and repeat the process every day as often as necessary, until all the seeds fall off. Such is the case of the thistles, sunflowers and some varieties.
Remove containers cocoons. There are other varieties that require more action. These are the seeds that are encapsulate in plant containers. You can remove the entire container plant bud, opening in a paper envelope, or you can open it on the ground, collecting the dried seeds (that break off and fall alone) on paper.
Save the seeds. It is important to keep the seeds in papers, as these allow drying are completed correctly and air out. You can also keep in fabrics. Try not to take them into plastic containers, especially sealing because the moisture and temperature can affect the structure and good seeds.
