BUILDING AND HOUSING REHABILITATIONMORTAR FOR REHABILITATION
The mortars are materials for construction and rehabilitation formed by mixing plows, water, a binder, such as lime, cement or plaster and sometimes various additives. As construction element has a number of properties that make it the building material that has more applications not only in construction but also in the rehabilitation of buildings and homes. Adaptable to any surface, easy to be applied both manually as projected and the ability to tailor the properties of the mortar according to composition and dosage of its elements to the precise requirements in every circumstance allow the use of mortars not only in works masonry and as gripping element between pieces but also in rehabilitation as cladding elements, plaster or plaster of buildings and homes.
The different composition and dosing of the different elements of mortars allows for a first classification of mortars in mortar plaster (I made from gypsum, sand and water), lime mortar (composed of Hydraulic Lime or Air, Arena water), fat lime mortar (composed by selected marble sand loads), cement mortar (a mixture of cement, sand and water), lean or lean mortar or mixed mortar Bastard (composed of two binders: Cement and lime, gypsum and lime).
Depending on its constructive application mortars, must be modified by adding in the composition a series of additives and MORTAR FOR REHABILITATION or additions such that the properties of the mortar in the fresh state (additives) or hardened (additions) are modified allowing classification mortars: mortars formation factories, mortars for screeds, adhesive mortars, repair mortars and mortars for coating and waterproofing. Organic or inorganic minor components, plasticizers, resins accelerators or setting retarders, air entraining and foaming, mineral additives, pigments and fibers are some components that allow obtaining the modified mortars.
Rehabilitation of buildings and homes, the use of special mortar is essential in certain construction solutions for thermal rehabilitation as the SATE system (thermal insulation from the outside) wherein on the thermal insulation layer is positioned to special mortar coating after the system with a topcoat. Besides being part of other systems thermal rehabilitation of facades, mortars often also used as continuous facings. Are rendering and mortars monolayer mortars, mortars modified by the incorporation of hydrophobic additives to improve waterproof and probably the most used in the rehabilitation of facades of houses and buildings on a budget.
