When they were supplemented with 100 mg of coenzyme Q10 daily, along with a low calorie diet, the men who were deficient in Coenzyme Q10 lost 29.7 pounds, while those with normal levels of coenzyme Q10 only lost 12.76 pounds .

Now, why would that be?

In clinical studies of diabetics, it has been found that chromium increases insulin sensitivity. In a follow up study, the authors concluded that MCT supplementation for six days increased thermogenesis by 50.

In another study, researchers compared only 400 calories meals composed entirely of any TCP or LCTs. MCT increased thermogenesis three times the LCTs. Surprisingly, the MCT had no effect on levels of blood fat. The researchers concluded that the use of TCP instead of LCTs would lead to weight loss, as long as the calories remain the same.

You know, I was alone in the store and can not stand to spend the money on coconut oil. It’s like 10 for a 16 oz bottle. But I go back and get it, anyway.

Just replace coconut oil for oil normally used in cooking and salad dressings.


A series of double-blind studies conducted at the University of Rome revealed that 5-HTP in fact promote weight loss.
