Well, it seems that the supplement industry is no exception to this. There are all sorts of arguments you will get the body of your dreams only by using a special pill. I think deep down we know better than this, but many people are just not willing to do the actual work it takes to build a great body who will believe anything.
The real purpose of the supplements
What has happened is that people have forgotten the true meaning of what a nutritional supplement that is supposed to be. Whether in a muscle building supplement, protein supplement, vitamin or idea is the same: supplements are supposed to be used, along with a good diet!
Here’s a definition of what a supplement according to the American Heritage Dictionary: Something added to complete a thing, to compensate for a deficiency, or extend or strengthen the whole.
In other words, a charge is intended to help compensate for a deficiency in your diet, or to help you get over a certain nutrient you are not getting enough from their regular diet.
Let’s take the popular muscle building supplement creatine as an example. Creatine is a natural product, but it would be very difficult to get enough of a regular diet to make a difference. So instead, we can supplement with creatine supplements to help offset the deficiency or to make it more complete.
Therefore, when it comes to using any type of supplement, you need to focus on their regular diet and nutrition first. This is your foundation. Then use supplements on top of that to help build on this foundation. But without a base you can expect very little supplementation.
